Har Ghar Tiranga 2026 Begins Today: Campaign to Run From August 9 to 17

New Delhi, August 9, 2026: The nationwide Har Ghar Tiranga 2026 campaign begins today, encouraging citizens to display the Indian National Flag and participate in activities celebrating national unity and patriotism.

The campaign will run from August 9 to August 17, with Tiranga Yatras, rallies and other public activities planned across the country. The 2026 edition is also being associated with celebrations marking 150 years of Vande Mataram.

This is the fifth edition of the Har Ghar Tiranga programme. The initiative encourages people to bring the Tiranga into their homes and participate in celebrations connected with India’s national identity and heritage.

Government and community organisations are expected to organise a variety of programmes during the campaign period. Citizens can also participate through activities promoted under the official Har Ghar Tiranga initiative.

With Independence Day approaching on August 15, the campaign is expected to build momentum over the coming week as people across India take part in patriotic programmes.
